A Joyful Celebration of Partnership and Pride at Windsor Olympus Academy

What a wonderful day of celebration we had at Windsor Olympus Academy!
Our school was buzzing with excitement as we all came together—students, staff, families, and community partners—to share some very happy news.
We were bursting with pride as we celebrated winning a Silver Award in the Pearson National Teaching Awards. Our school, in partnership with Newbigin Community Trust, was named a winner for the 'Partnership of the Year'. This special award is for our amazing Community Hub, which has become a welcoming place for everyone and the true heart of our community.
We also cheered for our brilliant teacher, Amy Mae Hilton, who was celebrated with a Certificate of Excellence for 'Outstanding New Teacher of the Year'.
It was a joy to share this moment with our WAT family and special guests. We were so pleased to welcome Aneeta Raindi from the Pearson National Teaching Awards and Vicky Moore from PiXL. Thank you both for making the day even more special.
The celebration was filled with amazing performances from our talented students. We were treated to beautiful singing from our choir and a fantastic solo by Peniel, as well as incredible performances from the Olympus Dancers and Ballerinas. It was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when we all work to unlock our students’ potential.
Our community partners were so proud to see the hub, which was buzzing with happy conversations, receive this recognition. The day was a perfect example of our school’s aim to ensure our students and community are 'thriving together'.
Headteacher Sally-Jo Wilkinson said:
"It was a truly joyful day. Seeing our students perform with such confidence and our whole community coming together to celebrate this achievement was incredible. Our partnership with Newbigin Community Trust is so important to us, and this award is for every single student, parent, staff member, and partner who makes our Community Hub the special place it is. I am unbelievably proud of our Olympus family."
